Rose L. Williams is a Visual Artist & Certified Expressive Arts Therapist working with Nature’s chemistry in her studio in Vancouver BC, Canada.
Rose critically investigates interstices between creative activity, trauma, transformation and aesthetics. Her paintings and photographs raise awareness around Wellness, Allopathic & Natural Medicine and the health of the Environment.
Grounded in a 40-year photography career, Rose combines Botanical mono-printing, natural dyes and recycled textiles into mixed media paintings, collages & commissions.
Recent subject matter embraces images of the natural world; trees, water, birds, fish, animals and leaves, the healing qualities that they embody, the extinctions they face and their symbolic associations with humanity.
Projects incorporating Biophilia, Phenomenology, and Environmental Conservation are representative of this artist’s perspective.
